(June 14, 2022) – Commercial real estate’s leading annual awards, the Best of NAIOP, celebrated the top-performing people, companies, and projects of the past year on June 9 at the Arizona Biltmore. The Arizona Chapter of NAIOP bestowed awards in 38 categories before a full house of commercial real estate professionals. “The number of nominations received this year was humbling and is a testament to the positive growth we have been recognizing in the Arizona economy and real estate industry,” said CJ Osbrink, Newmark Knight Frank; Jeff Foster, Prologis; and Tom Jarvis, Willmeng, the Best of NAIOP Chairmen. “We want to extend our utmost gratitude to the NAIOP staff, NAIOP Board of Directors, and the Best of NAIOP committee volunteers for all the hard work and time they have put forth in making this such a successful and rewarding evening.” NAIOP Arizona kicked off the evening with the prestigious Award of Excellence. In 2021, this highly sought-after recognition went to David Krumwiede with Lincoln Property Company for his 36 years of contributions to the industry and NAIOP. Company winners were ViaWest Group, Firm of the Year; Layton Construction, General Contractor of the Year; VanTrust Real Estate, Industrial Owner/Developer of the Year; Butler Design Group, Architect of the Year; and Lincoln Property Company Desert West, Office Owner/Developer of the Year. In the brokerage awards, JLL captured three honors including Brokerage Firm of the Year. “It was an incredible night celebrating the tremendous projects and great achievements by our NAIOP members in 2021.
